Easter 2013

That's right, a blog that isn't about a birthday party!  We don't have another one for two weeks :-)  Today is Easter and we had a wonderful day at my parents' house in Spicewood.  Olivia really "gets" Easter this year from the Easter Bunny to egg hunts.  I'm still working on the meaning of Easter but we'll get there.  There are actually some pictures from our camera this time (because Mike was there) and not as many lesser quality cell phone shots.

When Olivia woke up she discovered that the Easter bunny had visited our house!

Olivia said she wanted to take a nap so we put a mattress on the floor and put her down.  She's never slept anywhere but her crib or a pack n play before. 

 

Right after Olivia went down for her nap there was a random hail storm!  It didn't wake her up but it came close to giving me a heart attack because we had driven my (new) car to Spicewood.  Thankfully, no damage.

 

Muddy ground outside meant indoor egg hunt.

Birthday fun . . . take 6!

Oh yes, another birthday party.  We are almost to the end though, just one more that we went to today that I'll write a short post about.  Birthday party #6 was yesterday and was for Miles who turned 3.  He and his parents live very close to us and his Mom (Angie) and I are really good friends.  They had his Spider man-themed party at their house this year.  More cell phone pictures!  Mike brought home a camera that had been in the lost and found at Sam's Boat for over 6 months but I felt like it wasn't taking great pictures so I just resorted back to the phone.  I will likely give the camera a chance again at some point.

Time for t-ball practice.  Olivia and the other kids were very good at taking turns but she did get whacked in the face (total accident!) at one point.

The weather was BEAUTIFUL yesterday!  80s and sunny.

 

This was during present time.  Olivia's not one to rush and "help" open presents.  She prefers to sit back and watch.

Cheeeese!  One good thing about the amount of cupcakes Olivia has had as a result of the number of birthday parties we have been to lately is that she rarely eats them.  She likes to lick some-most of the frosting off and then discards the rest.

 

Miles got a little trampoline for his birthday from Angie's parents and that is where Olivia spent much of the afternoon.  She loves to jump/bounce/climb.  We are seriously considering getting one for our backyard.
