We ended up getting a lot bigger insurance check for the Camery than we thought we would so Mike bought the camera that he has wanted for a long time.  He is a great photographer and got some funny shots of Olivia.

Rare picture with Mommy

You'll notice that there aren't a lot of pictures of Olivia and me and that's because I am usually the one behind the camera.  So of course in this rare shot, we are both in our jammies!

Olivia's first car

On Friday, June 17th, Mike and Olivia were in a car accident.  A 17 year old kid blew through an intersection where the traffic lights were all flashing red and hit Mike broadside.  Mike and Olivia are OK thank God but Mike's Toyota Camry is a goner . . .

Yup, that's a deployed air bag you see.  Mike's deployed too although he doesn't think that he hit his face on it.

We didn't wait for the insurance check to come in because the 17 year old is claiming that he was not at fault (whatever) so it may take a while to get our money.  That being said, on Friday, June 24th we bought Olivia's first car . . .

It's a 2010 Mazda 5 "micro" van which is a cooler, smaller version of a min-van.  It has low mileage and we got a great deal on it.  We call it Olivia's first car because we plan on it lasting until 2026 when she starts driving
