Water baby

Olivia has not been a huge fan of water lately.  I took her to a splash pad to meet up with some friends and she cringed every time the mist from the water would hit her.  We live in Texas where it's hot as you-know-where for many months out of the year and the thought of not being able to retreat to the water with our little mouse is not a happy one.  She liked being in the pool last summer so we hoped that her current dislike for water was just temporary and took her off to the pool this afternoon.  Mike wanted to ease her into the super shallow end (we're talking less than a foot) but my vote was for him to get in and me toss her in after him - not literally.  That's the approach she went for and after the shock of being in the water wore off, she loved being in the "cool" as she calls it.  We spent some time in the baby end where she could stand up and tried to convince her to blow bubbles in the water.  When we were in the big part of the pool, all she wanted to do was wriggle out of our arms - not ideal as given she didn't like water yesterday, we haven't exactly taught her to swim yet.  All in all, it was a great success and we can't wait to take her back to the "cool" again!
