Miles's Birthday

Last weekend, Olivia's sweet friend Miles has his 1st birthday party!  I was bummed that I had to miss it but I had a wedding to go to in Florida.  Mike and Olivia went and represented the Robinson family.

This is Montana and my friend Olive with her Mommy Kristie

I can't wait until I can walk around with Miles and Abby!

I love my Daddy!!

Miles's Mommy and Daddy are helping him with this present

Hmmm, I wonder what's in here?

I found the perfect spot to play with this

I've got this unwrapping thing down now!

Here's Miles opening his gift from Olivia

What do we have here?

Yummy!  Cake!

Happy Birthday Miles!

7 months

Olivia was 7 months old last week.  I'm not sure why, but 7 months sounds so much older than 6 months.  We didn't have a doctor's appointment this month so no official weight or height but here is a little bit of what's been going on in Olivia's world:

  • Olivia has much more hair that is coming in blonde
  • Her eyes are a steely blue gray
  • Still in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes
  • Olivia has ~20oz of soy formula a day usually in an early morning, afternoon, and bed time bottle
  • We now have 3 square meals a day.  Breakfast is fruit + cereal and lunch and dinner are vegetables + cereal
  • She eats in her big girl high chair now
  • Such a big girl!
  • We have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, carrot/zucchini, squash, peas (bleh), green beans, avacado, peaches, pears and bananas.  Mike made a banana/papya mix but for some reason it turned to jello.
  • Favorites include squash and pears and her favorite cereal is still mixed grains but you really never know what she is going to gobble down or turn her nose up at on any given day
  • Mmmm, gotta get every last drop!
  • Watch out when she's eating, a little laugh and you're covered in breakfast
  • Haha!
  • She still only has the bottom 2 teeth.  I have given up saying that she is about to get one of the top 2 because they don't seem to be in any hurry
  • Always chewing on something
  • In addition to holding her sippy cup, Olivia now bangs it on things, throws it around and oh, occasionally drinks out of it
  • Daddy and Olivia go on a jog/walk almost every weekday and she has water when they get home.  Usually from a bottle but we are still working on the sippy
  • Olivia is a rolling fool!!  Back and forth, back and forth.  She continues to roll from her back over her left shoulder but has almost mastered the other way which would allow her to roll in a continuous motion across the room
  • She can now get her feet in her mouth and laughs every time she does it
  • She will sit straight up and play with toys in front of her
  • I'll let you play with my steering wheel toy
    She sure loves that thing
  • We have seen her "inch" towards something like a little worm.  Mike watched her move about 6 inches the other day!  Sometimes she pushes herself backwards as well.  She is getting frustrated that she can't move around and get things so I think crawling is right around the corner
  • Olivia met her first balloon this month
  • I'm not quite sure about this
  • Our chuncky monkey's thunder thighs didn't fit in her Bumbo for a while but she's had a bit of a growth spurt and has leaned out enough that she can sit in it again.  Whew!
  • In my jammies with my Bug
  • She supports her weight flatfooted very well and for quite a long time
  • Now from a standing position, she bounces up and down in your lap
  • In general, she's a very squirmy baby
  • Peek a boo is still a fav and now when asked "Where's Mommy/Daddy", she will take a burp cloth or whatever off of our faces.  If you say "Where is Olivia"? she will start playing Peek a Boo all by herself
  • Where's Olivia?
  • Bug has made his way back into the favorite toy rotation
  • There's Bug
  • Olivia make very excited faces and motions when she sees Mr. Rabby, she loves him!
  • Naps - still a crap shoot although she has been taking much longer naps in the mornings and early afternoons, sometimes up to 2 hours
  • Can't sleep without my Mr. Rabby!
  • Nighttime sleeping is getting better in general but not predictable.  With the time change, she goes to bed between 8:00pm and 8:15pm and sometimes sleeps until 6:00am and then has a bottle or sleeps until 5:00am, takes a paci and sleeps until 7:30am.  Our little mouse keeps us on our toes
  • She usually sleeps on her back but occasionally you'll find her on a side and once she even slept on her tummy
  • Uh oh!  No pants!
  • She is starting to string different one syllable sounds together.  When you ask her to say "Da da", she will either whisper "da da" or blow a raspberry
  • She knows her own name
  • Olivia is still a little quiet and likes her paci in loud places but is MUCH better with people holding her
  • Not a big fan of having her clothes taken off
  • Still loves her fuzzy sisters
  • Hi Bella
  • Still loves her bath
  • In my Bevo towel
  • Won't keep a hat on in the jogging stroller so Mike has to be careful to keep the shade over her little head

Let's go Daddy!

We love you beautiful girl!!

Bunco

I play Bunco on the second Monday of every month with a great group of girls.  It's the perfect opportunity for all of us to escape our realities and sit around and eat, drink, and play dice.  Well last week, Mike and I had a "miscommunication" about our schedules and at 10am on Monday, we realized that I had Bunco AND Mike had to work that night!  We tried to call a couple of people but with such short notice we knew it would be find someone to watch the mouse.  I sent a quick email to Rachel, the girl who organizes our Bunco group and explained the situation.  Approximately 2 minutes later, I got a response - Bring her with you!!  And so I did . . .

All ready to go Mommy but I don't really know why you put these shoes on me!

Olivia!  Did you drink Courtney's wine?

Here with Laura and Krista.  My new friends are in those bellies!

Olivia was fascinated with the rolling dice and behaved beautifully the whole evening.  She has been deemed the Bunco mascot and is welcome back anytime.
